Film is the one thing I have never managed to simply watch. Something in a scene lands, and before it has finished landing I am already pulling at it, looking for the choice underneath that made it work. Doing that has never once spoiled a film for me. It does the opposite. It is how I stay inside one a little longer.

So this is where it goes. Everything I write about in a year collects here, scored out of 100, because a number forces a decision that a paragraph lets you dodge. Where a film has a spoiler cut as well, the link goes to the clean one. The season stays open.
